Sommers Quote

I would suspect that the author of the quote is an experienced writer. Solely because the amount of information that’s in the quote just seems like a pretty profound statement for a, comparatively speaking, inexperienced student. Also, you hear this type of saying from many weathered writers. The whole idea to never be satisfied with what you have, never expect a lot out of your first or second draft and always be willing to revise, revise, revise. I also like the idea to now fall in “love” with what you’ve written in a first or second draft. In my own experience I know I have loved a few sentences in a paper but they just didn’t seem to work for that certain type of paper. I mean sometimes I almost shed a tear cutting sentences. But I realize it just doesn’t work.
