The Dangers of Portable Data
I for one think that the USB drive is one of the best inventions in recent years. These tiny devices give us the power to carry around large amounts of data in a pocket or on a keychain. However, as Spider-Man teaches us, "with great power comes great responsibility."Read about the Texas A&M professor who, while visiting Madagascar, lost a USB drive containing the personal information of 8000 students.
I have to wonder why the prof in the story thought he would need access to that data while in Madagascar. Couldn't he just get on Facebook?

Why would he need that data anyway (including social security numbers?)? Smells fishy!
