Top Web Tools for College Students

I'm not sure about the origin/author of this list of Top Web Tools for College Students, but it's interesting to get a student perspective on what works for organizing projects, collaborating, and keeping up with other people and the onslaught of information. Right now the Web is just burgeoning with new cool tools for helping people organize and share information and I always appreciate coming across a list that helps me discover new tools. It might be nice to point students to these and other tools from the Learning Commons website.

Some of you might know that the Citation Builder is by far the most searched for resource on the library's website. OttoBib, which is mentioned in the list is a similar tool. There are others as well...like BibMe. I personally haven't used OttoBib or BibMe enough to determine if they're of a high enough quality to point students to them with complete confidence. Anyone have experience with these tools?

Google Docs and Spreadsheets are clutch when doing groupwork! It really helped me in my class last semester. Now I hear that they (Google) are adding in presentations to the mix. Even better!

Hey Kim, that's a great idea about linking to this from the LC page. Would you be willing to post about this to the LC discussion board? It will be interesting to see how many views the topic gets over time - some subjects get lots of traffic quickly.

I haven't tried either of the bib tools you mentioned...
