Wikis in Plain English
Wikis have plenty of educational use, but it's not always the easiest thing to describe. I stumbled across this link not too long ago about wikis. If you have never heard of wiki, this is a good introduction - if you know what a wiki is, this might be a good way to start a conversation about what a wiki is and how it is useful with some one who doesn't:http://www.commoncraft.com/video-wikis-plain-english

This is a great resource that I recently came across as well! In fact, I was just about to blog about it :)
There's another nice video about RSS that I think might even be more effective. Similar style made by the same folks:

There are also some great examples of instructional use of wikis on WolfWikis - the free wiki service the Libraries provides for the NCSU community: http://wikis.lib.ncsu.edu/index.php/Courses
