1st entry

This is it - my first blog entry!  I am a graduate student in Chemistry at North Carolina State University.  I was wondering if blogs might be a better way to teach chemistry.

What do you think?

Comments:

This is the first time visiting your weblog... I believe your explanation of Solubility Rules has been helpful in expanding my understanding of the topic material and the experiment we will perform. Hopefully the experiment itself will be as straightforward :-) Thanks Caroline

Your blogs are really helpful in explaining some things that the textbook can't or makes really complicated. I was looking up how to predict whether a double displacement will proceed or not and your explanation with Le chatelier's principle helped. Thank you.

I am glad that my blog helped you understand the material. I was just wondering how you came upon it? It is just that I haven't done anything with it since summer.

Your blogs are really cool and they are helping me a lot in my assignment. Please if you can then tell me that which chemical compounds are used in making:
1)Cricket balls
2)Footballs
3)Golf balls
3)tennis rackets
4)tennis balls
5)the net of the tennis nets

Actually i want to know that how far is chemistry involved in the formation of equipments of sports such as
1)Golf
2)Hockey
3)Cricket
4)Football
5)Tennis

How are the shoes, rackets, bats etcetera are made so light that they are easy to handle.
Please help me out in my assignment i will be really greatful to you. :)
