Logan Scarborough captures wildcard for 2009 STIHL Timbersports Collegiate Invitational Championship
Posted on May 22, 2009 by Lisa Schabenberger
Logan Scarborough, a Junior in Forest Management and the NC State University Forestry Club president, has been selected as the wildcard competitor in the 2009 STIHL® Timbersports Collegiate Invitational Championship, June 20-21, in Columbus, Georgia. Due to a narrow miss in the stock saw competition during the Southeastern Collegiate Challenge at Alabama A&M University earlier this year, Logan came in third overall. The wildcard revives Logan’s chances to compete with the five regional conclave first-place winners to determine the national collegiate champion. In 2007, NC State Forestry Club member Mike Brafford won sixth overall at the national championship and brought home a $1000 donation to the club from STIHL.
