CMU-Portugal Ph.D. Fellowships

The ICTI Ph.D. Program in Applied Mathematics offers courses of studies
in Applied Analysis and in Probability, Stochastic Analysis and their
Applications.

Dear Colleagues,

The ICTI Ph.D. Program in Applied Mathematics offers courses of studies
in Applied Analysis and in Probability, Stochastic Analysis and their
Applications. The students attending the program will study both at
Carnegie Mellon University and at the Mathematics Departments of three
Portuguese institutions: Faculdade de Ciencias / Universidade de Lisboa,
Faculdade de Ciencias e Tecnologia / Universidade Nova de Lisboa,
Instituto Superior Tecnico / Universidade Tecnico de Lisboa.
Graduate students in the program are fully funded by the Portuguese
Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and the ICTI.
Ph.D. graduates of the program will earn two doctoral degrees, one from
Carnegie Mellon University and the other from the Portuguese partners
listed above in association.

I am contacting you in case you might know potential applicants
interested in these positions. Interested students should visit

Interested applicants should follow the common graduate student
application process (http://www.math.cmu.edu/grad/admssn.html) for the
Department of Mathematical Sciences, but make a special note of interest
in this fellowship.
The deadline for applications is January 15, 2009.
