First Year College is profiled in a new book for university educators: Designing Effective Assessment: Principles and Profiles of Good Practice, edited by Banta, Jones, and Black and published by Jossey-Bass.
The book's profile of FYC discusses how the program has developed and used the Student Experiences Survey (administered at the end of each semester to students in the USC 101/102 course) and other assessment methods to make decisions about FYC programs.
The profile was written by Kim Outing, FYC Assistant Director for Assessment, and Karen Hauschild, FYC Associate Director.
