Several First Year College advisers presented at the national First Year Experience conference in February in Orlando, FL.
Karen Hauschild presented "The First Year College Village: A Partnership"
Shannon Brandt and Andrea Atkin spoke about "Weaving the Diversity Thread: Good Intentions Are Not Enough"
Matthew Rust and Dr. Nancy Gustke (Dept. of History) presented a poster session on "Incorporating Service-Learning into a Linked First-Year Orientation Course."
The Annual Conference on the First Year Experience, sponsored by the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, brings together higher education professionals from around the nation to discuss first year student issues and programs in a community of scholars.
