I'm very pleased to see NCSU Libraries taking this step. I've found a blog to be very useful for posting news to my large enrollment MA 114 online class. I used to maintain a news page as plain old HTML, but I've found a blog to be very convenient especially because it's so easy to share access with teaching assistants or other teachers helping with the class. It's great to have this resource available on campus now.

I have been using blogs for consulting and various projects for the last five years. I am excited about blogs coming to NCSU. Right on!

I have been using blogger.com for a few years now to allow my students to work in teams for my professional communication course. I set up and loosely monitor a blog for each of the teams in the class. This really helps bring new mediums, technologies, and different forms of communication to the course. It encourages collaborative communication, and lets students simulate professional discourse. I will try using our new WolfBlogs during my summer course, and see how it goes!
