Peer Review: Call to Action Speech

Call to Action Speech
Speaker: Demario
Reviewer: Morgan Parks

Demario did an excellent job at recalling why deforestation is an issue today, especially concerning global warming and Carbon Diaoxide emission. He gave some interesting facts as to why action is needed today stating that morethan 30,000 people died as a result of deforestation which cased global warming and heat waves. He also pointed out that if deforestation continued global warming would get worse, which would consequently mean a rise in sea level and that 3/4 of our major US cities would be affected.

His solutions to his problem was to look into trees, action with numbers in if you tell two people and they tell two people then eventually everyone will know about the issue. As his persuasive strategies he argued that it improves air quality, it helps cool and regualte the planet, prevents mud and land slides. He argued that planet earth is our home and you would not destroy your own home so why would you destroy planet earth? Demario also said that now due to deforestation that children a three times more likely to get asthma. At times it seemed like his pointed varied from the actual issue of deforestation and focused more on how global warming and other environmental issues tied into deforestation, so there was no clear definite solution. Overall though Demario did an excellent job in his call to action speech.
