I just returned from the Convocation with Da Chen, and I must say he is exactly what I thought he would be.  He is just as funny in person as he is in his books.  He is very outgoing and very inspirational.  I love that he takes life as it is thrown at him, only one step at a time.  He says that when we get down about our life to remember that we are alive and in America.  This statement is so true. We take life for granted too often.  Da Chen grew up in a Communist country where freedom was clearly not an option.  I learned from the talk with Da Chen that life should be fun.  I learned that I am already a winner and have achieved so much.  I also learned that success is out there and to take advantage of my resourses.  These messages directly correspond with my values.  I do think that believing in yourself, your success, and having fun with life should be values instilled in everyone.

I am choosing to put God, friends, and  family in my circle of values.  Without these people I would not be in this chapter of my life.  They have influenced me in the best possible way and have been a primary source of my success.  I consider them very valuable and irreplacable in my life.
