Math for America Fellowship
Dear Math Seniors:
Math for America Fellowship:
This is a 5 year program for mathematically talented individuals who
wish to teach in New York City public secondary schools.
MfA Fellows receive a full scholarship to a secondary mathematics
education master's degree program, extensive professional development
support and mentoring, and a stipend of $90,000 over five years.
Eligibility:
*Candidates must be a US citizen or permanent resident of the US
*Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree by June 2008
*A minimum of 18 credits of math at the calculus level or higher is
required
*Candidates must make a five-year commitment to the MfA Fellowship
Program
*Current teachers, those who are certified to teach, or those who have
completed a graduate
education degree program are not eligible

*Submit your application, personal statement, transcripts and letters
of reference by Feb. 1, 2008
*Tate the two ETS Praxis II Math subject tests
