Assignment 2 related questions
Homework 2 has been posted. Use this blog entry's comment section for posting Q&A related to this assignment.
Update 2: The color specification has been changed to provide ambient, diffuse and specular components for red, green and blue seperately. For the sample input, the vertex and light source specification has been corrected.
Update 3: Use the standard obj file format (and a standard reader) for the input model specification. You should have received Dave's sample input by mail.
Update 4: Minor errors in the sample obj files fixed (by Dave Crist): Heres the latest version: obj files
Here are some sample outputs from a previous semester (Thanks again, Dave!). Note that the top surface is missing in both cases - this is probably a bug.
Image 1: 200x200 image, 10 samples per pixel, 2 levels deep (reflections):

Image 2: 200x200, 20 samples, 5 levels:

The course wiki page now has links to OpenGL and GLUT documentation on the web. Please post comments to this entry if you have trouble installing/working with openGL on Windows using Visual Studio. Cheers, Prashant.
