Writing in Forestry

I learned that there are many writing applications that go into almost all fields. I never associated forestry with a great deal of writing, so the process of seeing all the different types was definitely quite the surprise for me. I assumed they had to write reports and talk about what they do, but he said that over fifty percent of his job is writing and talking, which I find to be an alarming statistic. I was also surprised to find that environmentalists are involved in the process of cutting down forest areas. I thought that environmentalists were there to prevent tree and forest destruction. But, he seemed to be there to assess the damage in order to give companies the go head to proceed in tearing things down. I guess it is comforting to find that instead of just tearing down trees, someone is there to make sure that wildlife has a chance.
