ECI 511 Blog Assignment

Students in ECI 511 create their own blog site on WolfBlogs and develop six entries during the semester. ECI 511 is a class in technology integration in the K-12 environment, thus student entries consist of reflections on course readings and how they would integrate some of the resources, tools, and strategies we discuss in their own teaching environment. Each student entry is worth 4 course points and must include:

  • a brief description of the tool/resource/strategy they wish to integrate (1 point)
  • key findings from the readings that help to inform or guide their use of that item (1 point)
  • original ideas for applying the item to their own teaching (1 point)
  • and approximately 500 words (1 point)
Beyond reflection, a secondary goal of the assignment is for students to read one another's blogs and provide comments as desired, to aid in further understanding of different technology integrations across varied subject areas. Links to student blog sites will be posted on this general ECI 511 blog, for quick-link, easy access to student work.
