With its rich history, charming
oceanfront and friendly atmosphere, Virginia Beach has long been a favorite
destination for people seeking a bit of fun while getting in some down time
from their otherwise fast-paced lives. What's more, not only is it the ideal
place to sit back and relax, but it's great for families and groups of friends
that are looking for a different scene than the typical spring break retreat.
There are many things that you can do
in Virginia Beach, but nothing is more fun than experiencing the Boardwalk. The
Boardwalk stretches three miles alongside the beach, and it is visited by
millions of people each year. In typical boardwalk fashion, the Virginia Beach
Boardwalk features local shops, food, entertainment and attractions that are
sure to keep even the most laid-back tourist on their toes. The possibilities
are endless; lie out in the sun or jump in the cool waters of the Atlantic.
Rent a jet-ski and cut through the waves or board the Rude Rocket yellow boat
and see what the boardwalk looks like from the ocean. Feed that hunger for
adventure and go parasailing, or simply relax and enjoy some offshore fishing.
Inland activities are just as popular
in Virginia Beach as the water sports. Do you like golfing? Virginia Beach has
some of the most spectacular - and difficult - golf courses in the country. Visit
Busch Gardens in nearby Williamsburg or simply marvel at the wonder that is the
Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. You can do anything you want in Virginia
Beach - the sky's the limit.
What's even better is that Virginia Beach vacation rentals are very affordable. Lodging doesn't have to be
limited to the beach, either. If you want to be close to the beach and you'd
prefer to stay close to the boardwalk, you can find oceanfront lodging at great
rates. However, transportation in Virginia is easy to come by and the further
inland you go, chances are the cheaper your rates are going to be. So it is
definitely worth a look to see where you might benefit from the best deals. Who
knows? Depending on when you travel you may be able to stay right on the
boardwalk for a fabulous price.
You don't have to go far to enjoy
yourself. Take a trip to Virginia Beach and see how close relaxation can really
be.
Imagine yourself submerged in the
deepest, clearest, bluest ocean water, watching in wonder as you snorkel your
way through an underwater paradise. You step out onto the whitest sands and
look up at deep blue sky with not one cloud in sight. You head to your
impressive vacation home and change into your coolest outfit for a night of
fun, music, drinking and mingling as the sun sets on the horizon and the beach
waves sing you to sleep.
Sounds like a movie, doesn't it? It's
the dream vacation you've been waiting for, and it's possible in the Bahamas.
From the beautiful shores of Nassau to the excitement of Grand Bahama and the
simplicity of the Out Islands, the Bahamas are the epitome of the ultimate
island paradise, and the perfect place to run away from the responsibilities of
a hectic academic lifestyle. Why settle for hanging out at the pool on spring break
when you can bask in the glow of the island paradise sunshine of the Bahamas?
With many different islands to suit your taste, you can rest assured that you
will enjoy every breath that you take in this majestic place.
A trip to the Bahamas is a trip that
should be planned in advance, although there is definitely no harm in jumping
on a plane at a moment's notice and heading there if you are able to do that.
However, planning your trip will ensure that you are able to find the perfect vacation home to settle into while you're
visiting. Bahamas vacation rentals vary according to the island that you decide to stay
in.
The capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, is
located in Providence Island. This is by far the most visited island in the
cluster, and probably the one you will look for lodging in first. Make sure you
search the web for travel packages and deals that will keep your trip within
budget and will allow you to have a pleasant and stress-free experience. You
may also look into the other islands, which may offer cheaper rates since they
are a little further away from the capital. A little bit of research goes a
long way in determining how well your vacation will turn out.
While you check out prices and rates,
make a list of the places that you would like to visit and the things you'd
like to do. This will help you maximize your time in the Bahamas to ensure that
you make the most out of every moment. Finally, relax, pack your bags, and
enjoy yourself as your dream vacation becomes a reality.
When someone says Michigan, I
immediately think of Detroit. Up until now, I am ashamed to admit that I have
known very little about Michigan as a state. But I have recently learned that
there is a whole other world beyond the most famous Michigan city; a state that
relishes in its natural habitat with beautiful coastlines and majestic
skylines, Michigan is the ideal place to reconnect with nature.
Bordering the Great Lakes, Michigan
boasts the world's longest freshwater coastline, with over 100 public beaches
for visitors to enjoy, the only marine sanctuary in the Great Lakes area and
numerous historical monuments, spots and districts to visit and enjoy. There
are over 100 lighthouses in the state of Michigan, as well as some of the
world's highest freshwater sand dunes.
This is just the tip of the iceberg
when it comes to things to do in the great state of Michigan. A haven for
outdoor sports junkies, visitors of Michigan can enjoy a wide range of
activities that include:
Kayaking
Cross-country skiing
Dog-sledding
Fishing
Boating
Hiking
Hunting
Biking
Swimming
Snowmobiling
In addition, those traveling through
Michigan can marvel at the beauty of the hundreds of species of trees in the
area as they visit the many state parks, wildlife refuges, and nature reserves.
Michigan is the ideal destination for you to reconnect with nature and your
environment.
With so many places to go, it's no wonder
that you can find Michigan vacation rentals at a reasonable
cost. Often times, the problem with visiting places that are not necessarily as
popular is that you don't think you will find quality vacation rentals anywhere. Fortunately, there are many places that provide
visitors with lots of choices on where to stay. From historic B&Bs to
small-town inns to cabins in the woods, you will no doubt be able to find
something that meets your needs while it suits your personality.
I had no idea that Michigan was so
beautiful and exciting. While a few months ago, or even a few weeks ago, I
would have never thought of adding Michigan to my list of states that I must
visit, the research has made a believer out of me. Consider checking out
Michigan as a possible destination for your next big trip.
If you're anything like me, when
looking for that perfect vacation spot you know exactly what you want: you're
attracted to picture-perfect landscapes in beautiful little towns that allow
you to get in touch with yourself and with the world around you while still
having some fun. This description fits the state of Maine perfectly. Its
fairy-tale scenery and rich natural habitat lends itself to the kind of retreat
that you have always dreamed of.
And yet there's an entirely different
side of Maine that makes it all the more exciting; for every mountain, pier and
tree you see, there are apple orchards, lighthouses, nature hikes, snow tubing,
campgrounds, horses, golfing, fishing, skiing, snow mobiles, etc. These things
and more await you at every corner of this beautiful state, making it a
surprisingly enjoyable and adventurous retreat.
One of the things that held me back in
the past about visiting Maine was my assumption that, as a college student, I
couldn't possibly afford vacationing at such a beautiful place. After all, any
place known worldwide for its lobster can't possibly be cheap to visit, right?
Wrong! Lodging
in Maine is surprisingly affordable, with retreats that vary in prices to fit
every budget.
Maine vacation rentals can be found everywhere, from the northernmost corner of
the state in Aroostook County to the southern Maine coastal town of Ogunquit.
Stay close to Sugarloaf Mountain for some Nordic and Alpine skiing or visit the
Museum at Port Head Light and learn all about the oldest lighthouse in Maine.
Or stay in the Greater Portland area for a more 'small town', cultural
experience. You can visit local shops that have that small town feel, and the
food in Maine, particularly the seafood, is second to none. From rivers to
ocean, mountain to orchard, everyone is sure to find something to keep their
interest peaked in this versatile state.
The most wonderful part about making
Maine your spring retreat is the peaceful, welcoming nature surrounding you,
even as you set foot outside of the airport. You are sure to find a new
experience at every turn, ensuring that your visit is one that you will never
forget.
From the Panhandle to the Keys, Florida
is one of the most visited places in the world. After all, it is the home of
the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios Orlando, Busch Gardens, Cape
Canaveral, Miami Beach, the Hemingway House, the Salvador Dali Museum, and
more.The list is seemingly endless.
There is always, ALWAYS something going on in Florida. No matter where you are,
you can always count on running into a county fair, a fishing tournament, a
golf game, an art show, theater show, a free concert, or a book reading or
festival. Depending on where you are, each option has its own unique
personality.
Which is why finding vacation homes throughout the Sunshine State is never a hard task. The key is to look for the
bargains at the right times of the year. Tourism is heaviest in summer, winter
and depending on where you go, in the spring also. Not to worry, though; even
at the busiest times of the year, you are sure to find something that will suit
your needs, whether you're looking for a one-person retreat or a Florida vacation rental that will serve as
party central for a group of your closest family or friends. There is indeed
something for everyone in Florida.
For instance, if you're looking for
something in Central Florida, just minutes from the main attractions, you can
find a lot of affordable vacation homes in South Orlando and nearby Kissimmee.
If you're looking for something close to water, you have many choices as well;
go to Miami Beach or Daytona for an exciting, adventurous retreat, or head over
to Naples or Indian Rocks Beach for a more laid back, secluded environment. The
Florida Keys is perfect for those who love hopping from place to place,
visiting historical sites or jumping on a yacht and taking to the sea, while
science and nature buffs may be much more attracted to the Everglades area or
Cape Canaveral.
All of these places offer great deals
on vacation rentals, beach front condos or homes with spectacular views of our
state, ensuring that you will have the best time possible while exploring the
beauty of Florida's hot spots.
The Outer Banks of North Carolina are a
great example of why I love visiting the N.C. coast so much. Everything is
breathtaking, from the shores of the Outer Banks to the wildlife parks and
lighthouses that decorate this picture perfect vacation spot. There is so much
to do in an environment that allows you to explore and discover without feeling
rushed or suffocated; life seems to slow down when you're there. This is
exactly what I need, especially with the hectic life I lead, between studying,
tests, school events and other fast-paced aspects of college life.
That is why I always make plans to
escape to the Outer Banks at least once during the school year. It really helps
me refocus and regroup; it helps me renew my energy so that I can tackle the
rest of the school year in a better frame of mind. I love to go hiking,
fishing, swimming, and sightseeing - I love the lighthouses!
Of course, with the economy being so
uncertain, it's becoming harder and harder for me to save my pennies and get
away, which is why I was afraid that this year I wouldn't be able to get my
much-needed rest. However, after looking for bargains, calling a few places and
budgeting every little bit of money I have, I am happy to know that I can still
go to the Outer Banks this year without sacrificing comfort or enjoyment.
In fact, I found Outer Banks vacation rentals
that fit right into my budget and are much more spacious and comfortable than
the little hotel rooms I sometimes stay in. I thought that finding affordable vacation rentals
in N.C. would be hard, especially in the Outer Banks, which is one of the most
popular vacation spots on the east coast. Not so; I not only found the perfect
spot for me to rest my head, but there's also enough room for me to bring along
some of my friends. While I love to get away on my own most of the time, this
year I think I may actually introduce some of my more stressed out pals to the
beauty of N.C.'s Outer Banks.
No city in the west coast says
California more than Palm Springs; palm trees, sunshine and fun are just a part
of everyday living there, and those who do live there take full advantage of
it. So why not decide to join the fine people of Palm Springs and partake in
the excitement of visiting their lovely city as part of your spring vacation?
Now, picture this. You're looking for
lodging in Palm Springs. Instead of finding a hotel room, you walk into a house
with a pool in the back. As you step onto the pool deck you are greeted by a
view of the majestic mountains surrounding your oasis in the desert. It's almost
like you have stepped right into a movie set. However, it is all very real. You step out of the house and into a
hiking trail, where you can stroll along and become one with nature. Going into
town, you enjoy the little shops and dining establishments in the square. At
night, you have your choice of club hopping or gambling...or dancing, or
lounging. The city is yours for the taking, from the moment you step off the
plane.
That can all be a reality. Palm Springs vacation rentals
are exceptionally well-priced and they cater to all, regardless of budget
limitations, so finding lodging that fits you
isn't hard to find. There are many places to choose from, and many different
types of accommodations to suit your needs, so you never have to worry about
finding that dream vacation home you imagine yourself staying in.
Once you get to Palm Springs, however,
you'll find it very difficult to just "stay in." With over 350 days of sunshine
a year and very little rain to spoil your plans, there is little doubt that you
will find yourself outside every day of your vacation in Palm Springs. But why
so dry, you ask? Well, as a desert town surrounded by three different mountain
ranges - the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the north, the Santa Rosa
Mountains to the south, and the San Jacinto Mountains to the west - Palm
Springs gets very little rain or wind. Hence the massive amounts of sunshine
and the dry climate. This is great for hiking and biking, two of the most
prominent activities among Palm Springs residents.
Consider adding Palm Springs to your
roster of cities to visit for a California desert experience you won't soon
forget.
In the past, when vacationing in
Florida, I've made the mistake of staying in some overcrowded, overpriced
tourist chunk of town where I couldn't get privacy if I paid a million dollars
for it. I did this because I thought that in order to be close to and enjoy
attractions such as Disney World, Busch Gardens or Universal Studios Orlando I
had to be in a centralized location, thus sacrificing both privacy and coin.
This year, I'm not making that same
mistake again. I found out about Indian Rocks Beach, a gorgeous, secluded
barrier island on Florida's west coast that keeps me far from the constant
hustle of tourist areas while still keeping me close to the attractions I love.
Best of all, I can stay at one of the Indian Rock Beach condos for rent that are all over the island for a fraction of the cost of a hotel room. It
doesn't get any better than that. I can even rent a vacation home - A HOME - for the money that I would be paying at a hotel in one of the theme
park resorts.
I would be getting so much more than
just convenience when staying at Indian Rocks Beach, though. I would be enjoying
myself and relaxing at one of the world's most beautiful and secluded beaches.
I can bask in the view of crystalline Gulf waters and white sands from the
balcony in my beachfront condo, without feeling like I'm constricted by crowds
or traffic. There are many shops, restaurants and clubs that make day as well
as night outings fun and interesting, and I can reap the benefits of true rest
and relaxation time no matter where I am in the island, whether I'm at my condo
rental, or sunbathing at the beach.
With my hectic school schedule and
everyday stresses of pursuing a college education, it's really important to me
that I use my break to really relax and have fun. Because I didn't know any
better before, I didn't do that very well. After doing some research on the
Internet and looking up vacation destinations in Florida, I came across Indian
Rocks Beach and have decided to give it a try this year, change things up a
bit. After all, staying in a gorgeous stretch of beach in the Sunshine State
and saving a few pennies sounds a lot better than stressing myself out in a
crowded building just to go on vacation. I do enough of that at school.
One of my friends from school asked me
the other day what I thought about getting a group of people from school
and taking a vacation together. I love road trips and group vacations, so
I jumped at the chance. However, when she suggested that we look at San Diego
as a possible vacation spot, I was a little hesitant. I was wondering exactly
what there was to do in San Diego but, even more so than that, whether or not
it would be expensive there.
My first question was answered almost
immediately as my friend sat down with me and, while showing me on her laptop,
told me about all of the cool things to do in San Diego. San Diego is very much
a cultural city, with many of the activities revolving around art - museums,
theaters and the like - while also focusing a bit on the oceanfront aspect of
the city. San Diego caters to every visitor and their corresponding lifestyle,
whether they are on a budget or ready to live it up. Places to stay are
plentiful throughout the city, and I think you will find that San Diego has a
room for every sort of traveler, from the loner to the social butterfly. San Diego vacation rentals are generally reasonably priced and as long as
you keep your eyes peeled for bargains on vacation
rentals, you can always count on keeping some cash in your pocket.
Cash that you will need for public
transportation as you explore the city and see the sights. Visit the
world-famous San Diego Zoo, or watch the dolphins and killer whales at Sea
World San Diego. Check out Torrey Pines State Reserve just outside the city for
something that's a little more "Wild Kingdom." Or perhaps you enjoy visiting
museums like the Timken Museum of Art or the San Diego Aerospace Museum or even
the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Whatever your taste or budget, there is
something for everyone to enjoy in San Diego during daytime excursions.
Night life in San Diego is dynamic and
fun, with an array of activities to choose from. Want to dance the night away
at the hottest spots? Visit The Bitter End, one of the most popular nightclubs
in the area. Maybe you're more into live music and lounging. If so, chill out
at Humphrey's Lounge. Hang out at the House of Blues San Diego for a more
familiar setting or just take a stroll through the Spanish Village Art Center
in Balboa Park, where you will find some of the best art shows and galleries in
the city.
San Diego is a culturally rich city
with endless possibilities, no matter what budget you're on. It's the perfect
getaway for college students that want more than just fun in the sun for their vacation.
There are many things about spectacular
Ocean City, Maryland that appeals to young people looking for a retreat from
their hectic college lives. For some, it's the beaches; for others, it's the
nightlife. Some love the shopping and dining. Whatever your reasons are, you
can rest assured that you will find your niche in this charming coastal city.
I've been to Ocean City more times than
I can count and the one thing that keeps me coming back for more is the Ocean
City Boardwalk. A miles-long stretch on the beach that's home to hundreds of
shops, food stands and other novelty shops, the Boardwalk has a little
something for everyone. The food at the Boardwalk ranges from sit-down
restaurants to carnival food stands where you can get things like pizza, funnel
cakes and Thrasher's boardwalk fries, arguably the best boardwalk fries in the
eastern seaboard. Entertainment on the Boardwalk takes the form of carnival
rides, arcade games and street performers and people from all over the world
gather there to enjoy the ocean breeze as they watch artisans work on their
pieces by the shore.
This is just one small aspect of a day
in Ocean City, though. There is so much to explore and so many things to do
that I guarantee you will never have to worry about planning out your itinerary
for the day. My friends and I strolled up and down the busy main roads in Ocean
City, went fishing at the pier, visited local shops and had crab legs at
Phillips, Maryland's most famous seafood restaurant. That was all just during
the day.
At night, streets are filled with cars
full of people heading to the beach for parties and bonfires, while groups of
friends walk up and down the streets, hopping from club to club, from bar to
bar. One of the great things about Ocean City is that you can rely on the
public transportation system as well as the constant stream of taxi cabs just
waiting to take you to your hotel room, beachfront condo, or vacation home.
Yes, there are many different kinds of lodging
in Ocean City, and the best part is that they all range in prices so you can
easily find something that fits your budget. I stayed in a three bedroom, one
bath beachfront condo for a fraction of what it would have cost me to stay in a
hotel room. I had a superb view of the ocean and my friends and I felt like we
were literally living in the lap of luxury. Ocean City, Maryland vacation rentals
can be an inexpensive and satisfying part of the experience.
Ocean City is one of the most
entertaining coastal cities in the northeast, and definitely worth a closer
look if you're thinking about going somewhere for spring break this year.
Spring Break is almost here and, with
it, the excitement of figuring out where you and your friends will be heading
for the week. While lots of places may appeal to you for different reasons -
maybe the location or the college feel of the town there is one place that I
recently discovered that has all of the best qualities of any one place you can
think of.
How would you like to have the exotic
beauty of Mexico combined with the culture and down home feel in the beaches of
South Texas? That's what you get in the gorgeous South Padre Island: the best
of both worlds melding together to create the ultimate party destination for
spring breakers all across the U.S. Seriously, what could be better? Beautiful
stretches of beach by day and party, party, party by night. There is no better
place for you to spend your spring break, especially if you're planning to go
with a group of friends.
When you go on vacation with friends,
it's always a challenge to find a place to stay that will not only be
comfortable enough to fit everyone, but also a place that won't cost you a
pretty penny. South Padre Island rentals
offer reasonable rates on various types of accommodations, all of them keeping
spring breakers in mind. Large groups in particular should look into vacation homes;
they provide the space and luxury of a home away from home for a fraction of
the cost of a stuffy hotel room. Think about it: Why pay for a small crowded
hotel room that will ultimately make everyone in your group hate each other
when, for just as much and in some cases, less, they can stay in a fully
furnished home with a full kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and comfortable living
area. In some instances you can find vacation homes with pools!
There are so many things that
distinguish South Padre Island from any other spring break destination that
it's really just worth a look if you haven't already checked it out. Go online
and start looking around for the best rates in lodging, so you can catch those
special offers in time to reward yourself and your friends with a once-in-a-lifetime spring break experience.
Even though school is now in full
swing, pretty soon you will be deciding where to take your next vacation.
Whether you decide to forgo visiting your family on the holidays and go off on
your own or you instead opt for your own trip during spring vacation, think
about the kind of place that you want to go to, and then think about
considering Hilton Head Island, S.C. as a possible destination for your next
trip.
It's important to choose a destination
that will serve its primary purpose of helping you unwind, but that will also
make you feel good about being there. Hilton Head, a tiny island nestled deep
in the coast of beautiful South Carolina, delivers on both accounts - and that is
just the beginning. No matter what your travel arrangements are, the island has
the accommodations that will suit your needs, no matter what. Hilton Head vacation rentals
are never in short supply. In fact, vacation rentals are
available year-round, all at affordable prices that won't empty your pockets.
Look throughout the 12-mile stretch of island to find something that is
suitable for your travel plans and cheap, while you can still capture all of
the best that Hilton Head has to offer.
Because believe me, it offers a lot.
Hilton Head, repeatedly recognized as one of the top family friendly
destinations in America, will do more than just impress you with its white sand
beaches or its marvelously crafted golf courses. The island is home to over
fifty miles of nature and bike trails and, unlike other tourist destinations,
Hilton Head makes full use of its natural resources without unnecessary energy
usage that can drain the environment. It's not just a beautiful destination -
it's an environmentally conscious one.
Being surrounded by stretches of beach
harmonizing with miles and miles of gorgeous local foliage, it's difficult to
think that there is anything else that you may need once you get there. Just
when you thought you could sleep your days away at the beach and do nothing
else but enjoy the breeze of the Atlantic, you find out that there are hundreds
of restaurants, local shops, and entertainment venues to literally keep you
busy for as long as you are visiting Hilton Head.
If you're looking for a place with
a friendly and environmentally sound beach community that will be easy on
your bank and will give you the rest you are so in need of, look no further
than Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Those of you that enjoy a relaxing
round of golf or a great shopping excursion will immediately fall in love with
the lush shopping district and the world-renowned golf courses in beautiful
Naples, Florida. Naples is a unique travel destination for students because of
its laid back ambiance and mellow atmosphere. When you step foot in Naples, you
know that you will be in for a fun-filled vacation but more than that, a
relaxing vacation.
Relaxation comes at a cost sometimes,
this is true; however, it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Many times,
lodging is more expensive than traveling, which can make it hard for people to
settle on going somewhere that they'd like to rest their head on. Lucky for us,
Naples is a town of shoppers and shoppers love a good bargain. Finding
well-priced lodging
shouldn't be that difficult and it isn't in a town like Naples, because there
are dozens of places that offer vacation rentals at reasonable prices. You
don't have to compromise on enjoyment or comfort either; in some instances, you
can even find Naples beachfront condos for a fraction of the price that you would pay for a
hotel. It's definitely worth looking into if you're looking at Naples as a
possible travel destination.
As I said, Naples loves shoppers. Those
who enjoy shopping will love the many shopping malls and stores in Naples.
Whatever your heart desires, you can find there; from clothes to accessories,
everything is within your reach. Nothing exemplifies this fact more than
Bayfront, a mall that boasts collections from major designers throughout the
world and is located right on Naples Bay. Those who prefer much less
extravagant yet charming shopping excursions should take a stroll through 5th
Avenue, a haven of small local shops and quaint restaurants. It really is a
dream come true for shoppers.
Naples also boasts dozens and dozens of
golf courses, some of them world-famous courses that have been played by golf's
heavyweights. Naples is definitely a golfer's paradise; whether you're an
amateur or a pro, there is no doubt that even non-players will want to hit a
few in Naples' beautiful ranges.
If you're looking for a place to visit
that is mellow and laid back, Naples is the destination for you.
Let's face it: stereotypical spring
break destinations are not for everyone. Not everyone wants to be in
overcrowded, loud beaches and partying 24/7. Nature lovers looking for a real
break from the stresses of everyday campus life and wanting to have the
experience of a lifetime will be charmed by Marco Island, the largest of the
ten thousand islands on the Gulf Coast of South Florida. Its quiet, picturesque
coastline is the background for some of the most impressive natural attractions
in the state.
When you visit Marco Island, expect to
do more than just sunbathing and beach frolicking. The island is home to
stunning wildlife parks and reserves, including the Everglades National Park.
Surrounded by thousands of uninhabited isles and other bodies of water, Marco
Island makes way for you to explore and discover at every corner. Featuring
beautiful tropical foliage and many species of wildlife, it seems almost like a
tropical fairy tale.
So with an island paradise like this
just a plane ticket away, what's stopping you from taking the plunge?
Maybe you're curious about lodging.
It's the one thing that seems to take the longest and the most out of us when
we're planning a vacation, isn't it? I mean, there are so many factors. We want
to make sure that we are getting the most value for our money. We want to know that we are centrally located
to all of the fun so that we don't miss a thing. Plus, we want to be comfortable! After all,
it is our vacation. Finding quality vacation homes shouldn't
be a hassle, and Marco Island rentals are
thankfully anything but.
The great advantage that a place like
Marco Island has over many other places in the country is that is it primarily
a tourist town and, as such, there are always places to stay. The key is to
find the one place that feels the best to you and that works the best with your
budget and your circumstances. The one thing that I ALWAYS find most valuable
is to go online and do some research. If you don't have time to sit in front of
the computer and look for websites, get some phone numbers and call some
places; ask about Internet deals and other special offers they may have. Also,
it may be beneficial to find out about nearby towns and cities that may be just
a few minutes away from Marco Island.
Marco Island is a fantastic - and
unusual -place to spend your vacation. It may be the break you have been
waiting for all year.
When it comes to the ideal vacation
destination, nothing compares to the exotic and magical coasts of Hawaii. The
beautiful culture, the amazing flora, the exotic atmosphere - for many of us it
would be a dream come true. That dream sometimes gets squashed by the reality
of school responsibilities - academic and financial. Not many of
us have the resources to be able to enjoy a luxury vacation in Hawaii - or do
we?
Despite a shaky economy and some tough
times, you will probably be as surprised as I was to learn that traveling and
having your dream vacation, whether you're in college or not, doesn't have to
be expensive, and it is far from impossible. Which, truthfully, is a relief,
because there are so many places in Hawaii I want to visit; I am particularly
fascinated by the breathtaking west coast of the 'Big Island': Kona.
How can I begin to describe Kona?
Kona, meaning "leeward" in Hawaiian, is located alongside the west coast
of Hawaii, and it is as famous for its beauty as it is for its attributes. Kona
boasts a near-perfect climate; the mountainous center of Hawaii blocks the
northeasterly winds from reaching Kona, so with very little rain coming
through, Kona enjoys an average of just over 300 days a year of sunshine.
Needless to say, the coastline lends itself to some wonderful water pastimes
such as snorkeling, diving, and sport fishing.
My dream vacation in Kona would involve
all of those things, plus many others. A tour of coffee plantations in South
Kona; a day of restaurants, local shops and sightseeing in Kailua Kona; deep sea
fishing and whale and dolphin watching in North Kona; beaches and snorkeling -
and even seeing a volcano up close - in the Kohala Coast of Kona-all of these
things are not just possible to experience, but they're possible to experience
on a budget.
I was surprised to learn as I looked up
rates for Kona vacation rentals that they were dirt-cheap in some areas. "I can't believe
it," I thought to myself. "I can actually afford to travel to Hawaii - on a college budget!" Vacation rentals there are not hard to find if you look
in the right places, and the best part is that, not only are they affordable,
but they are incredibly beautiful. In many cases, you can even find oceanfront
properties as vacation rentals.
I'm excited to know that I don't have
to limit myself to nearby destinations for my spring vacation. I can actually
make my dream vacation come true.
Sometimes a little fun while still
feeling relaxed and at home is what we need to get our mind off of exams, term
papers and tons and tons of reading. College is tough enough as it is; I don't
want my spring break to end up being the same way because I decided to go
somewhere that's too crowded or impersonal.
To that end, I suggest you take a look
at Myrtle Beach, S.C., a very popular vacationing spot for families, but a
place not often mentioned as an alternative to the more notable spring break
locales of Florida. Myrtle Beach has it all - water, shops, dining,
entertainment - without seeming overcrowded or stuffy. It's also easier on the
wallet than other travel destinations and it's by far one of the most radiant
beaches in the eastern seaboard.
Myrtle Beach is ideal for families with
children, but that doesn't mean that it's not a perfect place for college
students to relax and take a load off. Myrtle Beach is the perfect vacation
getaway for ocean lovers. Many of the attractions in the coastal city revolve
around maritime activities; fishing, boating, and diving are among some of the
most popular attractions among tourists visiting Myrtle Beach. There are water
parks and botanical gardens for everyone's enjoyment, and lots of boardwalks,
aquariums and piers give visitors an opportunity to enjoy the beach in its
simplest form.
There are many, many resorts that
decorate the coastline along Myrtle Beach, and lodging varies in price, which
is why it is important to look carefully for the best deals. Often times, you
may find that Myrtle Beach vacation rentals are rather inexpensive depending on the area in
which you decide to go. You can find online deals on resorts and lodging
at Myrtle Beach if you look diligently.
The warmth of the people in Myrtle
Beach makes it one of those unique destinations where you feel at home from the
moment you arrive up until the moment you leave. Although beautiful Myrtle
Beach is not often regarded as a spring break destination, all of these things
and more make it the perfect destination for getting away and taking a break
any day of the year.
If you've never been to Fort
Lauderdale, you are missing out on one of the most enjoyable experiences you
will ever have in a city, bar none. I went to Fort Lauderdale recently to meet
some friends for a week-long trip that turned out to be a much-needed break
from all the running around I usually do around campus. Granted, this was no
spring break, but visiting Fort Lauderdale gave me some things to consider as I
make my plans for future trips.
A girlfriend of mine suggested getting
away because we were all stressed out from finals. Before going to Fort
Lauderdale, my friends and I looked up some rates online. We wanted to make
sure that we weren't in over our heads and that it would turn out to be too
expensive for us. We were surprised to learn that there are some great rates on Fort Lauderdale vacation rentals throughout the area. Not just hotel rooms,
either. I'm talking about vacation homes,
with kitchen and bedrooms and a living room and a pool. Very nice! We were
eight girls in all, and the house turned out to be the best value for our
money. Can you imagine what it would have cost for us to get two or more hotel
rooms? Even more than that, can you imagine how uncomfortable we would have all
been, squeezed into hotel rooms, sleeping on the floor and stepping over each
other? The vacation home turned out to be awesome! For a fraction of the money we
would have spent at a hotel, we stayed in lodging that really felt like a home
away from home.
Now, before getting there I knew that
Fort Lauderdale was nice, but I had no idea that there was so much to do there!
Immediately one thinks beaches, water, sand, surf - but there is so much more
there that meets the eye. Check out the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment
District in downtown Fort Lauderdale, where you will find the Museum of
Discovery and Science, the Stranahan House, the Museum of Art and Old Fort Lauderdale,
among the many attractions. Go to Butterfly World, an impressive, one-of-a-kind
butterfly garden located in nearby Coconut Creek. Ride the world's oldest
wooden roller coaster if you dare, or snorkel along the reefs of Fort Lauderdale
beaches.
By the time we came home we were
convinced that we made the right call in choosing Fort Lauderdale for our
little retreat. Think about Fort Lauderdale when you want to get away for a bit
and recharge.
It's hard for me to think of Fort Myers
as anything, because Fort Myers is just not one of those places that you hear a
lot about. Especially as a college student, I don't often hear much about Fort
Myers. Then again, that's understandable, because unlike other beach towns, Fort
Myers isn't a very loud city. In fact, surrounded by Sanibel and Captiva
Islands, Fort Myers is probably one of the quietest places in the Gulf Coast.
This, for someone like me, who gets so wrapped up in college life, between
studies, recitals, papers, work, lectures and the like, could be the ideal
getaway.
When I started looking at possible places to go for spring break, it never crossed my mind to include Fort Myers
in that group. But after doing some research I found out some fascinating
things about the city that helped me definitely make up my mind:
It's quiet: Fort Myers is generally a
quaint, gentle sort of coastal town, one where people go to relax, get away
from the world and really get that mental massage that we all need every once
in a while. And Fort Myers is surrounded by Captiva Islands and Sanibel, as
well as hundreds of little uninhabited islands in the Gulf, adding to the
mellow vibe.
It's not as expensive as I thought it
would be to stay there: Fort Myers beach condos
are so beautiful and, better yet, affordable, that staying in one of them would
literally be like being right at home. Prices, of course, vary according to
where in Fort Myers you want to stay, so do your research and decide what?s in
your price range. I think you'll find that vacation rentals
in the area are quite reasonable.
It has lots of history and even more to do: Did you know
that both Henry Ford and Thomas Edison owned winter homes in Fort Myers?
Neither did I. But those are just two of many bits of local trivia that you
will learn about Fort Myers the minute you get there. Other things you might
find valuable as you make your way through the beautiful city: Sanibel is the
country's favorite beach to go shelling in, according to Travel & Leisure
magazine, Pine Island has some of the most beautiful museums and also a great
zoo, and Fort Myers boasts the youngest population in Lee County, Florida, so
you know the parties are awesome.
These are just some of the things that
helped me make up my mind about visiting Fort Myers for spring break. I
encourage you to look through the web, check out some sites, find out about
booking a vacation rental, and head to Fort Myers for one of the most relaxing
vacations you will ever have, guaranteed!
When you think Daytona Beach, you think
racing, motorcycles and yes, spring break. Who can blame you? Daytona Beach, Florida
is home to all of these things and much, much more. Here's something that, as a
college student, you may not have considered though: Daytona Beach is not just
fun and crazy on spring break - Daytona is definitely the place to be, no
matter what time of the year it is.
If the prospect of lodging keeps you from even considering Daytona
Beach because of how crowded it generally gets, especially during spring and
summer, don't worry; there are so many places that you can stay at that are
both beautiful and remarkably budget-friendly. Spacious and, more importantly,
affordable Daytona Beach condo rentals
can be found year-round by just going onto different sites and keeping your
eyes open for bargains that pop up frequently.
There is something for everyone in
Daytona Beach. Of course, you can't mention Daytona without thinking about the
Daytona 500, and for a good reason. The Daytona 500 is one of the most watched,
most attended sporting events ever. Regardless of whether you are a NASCAR fan
or not, you'll enjoy touring the Daytona International Speedway. Also, Bike
Week is an annual event that brings people to Daytona from all over the
country. It's a sight to see, so many motorcycles in one place. If you own a
bike, or just admire them, this is an event you won't want to miss.
But of course, the highlight of every
college student's spring semester is spring break, and no city does spring
break better than Daytona Beach. Every year, thousands of students from
colleges all across the country meet in Daytona to have a week filled with fun
in the sun and unforgettable nights of partying and excitement. During the day,
you should not be surprised at all to see people swimming, running, playing
volleyball on the beach, or surfing. From jet-skis and parasails to manatee
scenic tours, Daytona offers a wide variety of daytime activities that are sure
to keep everyone busy. Daytona also boasts a beautiful history with some sites
that are a must for any visiting history buff. By night, the town becomes party
central, with a variety of clubs, restaurants and bars that will more than
satisfy the quintessential bar hopper's thirst for adventure.
These are just some of the reasons why
Daytona Beach is THE destination for spring breakers all over the U.S. Still
not convinced? Check it out and experience it for yourself!
Now that your school year is in full
swing once again, it's time to start thinking about the stuff that really
matters. Stuff like, where are you going for spring break? Who are you bringing
with you? Where are you staying? What in the world are you going to do?
With so many possibilities for spring
break destinations, it's kind of hard to decide where to go. If you're like
most people though, spring break means bikinis on the beach, beers at the bars
and lots and lots of dancing. Sounds great, doesn't it? That?s exactly what
you?re going to need right before finals, and that's exactly what you're going
to get when you visit Panama City Beach in sunny Florida.
Panama City Beach is a breathtaking
beach town in the Gulf Coast, where some of the world's most beautiful beaches
are found. Known as the Spring Break Capital of the World, it's a no-brainer
for students looking to retreat for a little rest and a lot of recreation.
Activities range from the casual shopping and dining experience to the
boisterous night life that characterizes any place that would deem to be called
the Spring Break Capital of the World.
First things first: vacation homes
are very cheap there, and they are everywhere. For a fraction of what it would
cost you and a group of your friends to go to a hotel and grab a couple of
rooms, you can afford a luxurious Panama City Beach condo rental
overlooking the shore. There are websites listing and offering a variety of
options for your trip, whether you?re traveling alone or with your best pals.
Renting the right pad is sure to start your vacation on the right foot.
The real fun starts at the beach, but
it definitely doesn't end there. For the shopaholics, Pier Park is not to be
missed: 900,000 square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment that is sure
to give you ample choices for souvenirs. Dolphin lovers will fall in love with
the Sea Screamers Dolphin Cruise, where they will be able to see dolphins in
their natural habitat, frolicking and swimming about. Definitely a
once-in-a-lifetime experience, much like the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum
and the Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise. Nighttime at Panama City Beach brings you a
variety of clubs, bars, live music and entertainment that will give you
whatever you're in the mood for.
No list of possible spring break
vacation destinations would be complete without including Panama City Beach.
Its lovely beaches, great attractions and exciting night life are sure to give
you the break from your studies that you so deserve.
Have you ever been to Miami Beach? If
your answer is no, then my second question to you is-WHY NOT? Forget everything
you've heard about Miami Beach; rent one of the Miami Beach oceanfront condos,
grab a towel, your camera and some sunscreen (or suntan lotion, whichever you
prefer) and head to one of the world's hottest traveling spots.
The ultimate spring break vacation will
greet you as you arrive in one of Miami Beach's many affordable and attractive vacation rentals
by the ocean. Bask in the sun over Miami's sandy beaches and jump in the cool
waters of the Atlantic as you people watch the day away. Check out the clubs
where celebrities can be spotted drinking, dining and dancing. Have you ever
wondered why Miami Beach is world-renowned as a party hot spot? Well, stop
wondering and go see for yourself!
Make sure you visit Ocean Drive, where
you will find a plethora of restaurants, clubs and local shops inside of the
colorful buildings along the famous strip. Architecture buffs can take a stroll
through the Art Deco Historic District, where you can admire the colorful and
intricate buildings that adorn the area. Go to South Beach, the most famous
beach in Miami, and see what so many have already raved about.
The food in Miami Beach is
incomparable. Fused with Miami's ever-present Latin flavor, the delicacies
served up in the restaurants of this beachfront city are just the beginning;
nothing beats the ambiance of the food establishments in Miami. Each delivers
their signature flavors with a unique flair, which comes as no surprise since
some of the most critically-acclaimed chefs, like Emeril Lagasse, have
restaurants in Miami Beach. Also the home to many celebrities, some of the
world's most famous stars have eateries in Miami. Larios on the Beach, owned by
Miami daughter Gloria Estefan, is one of the most celebrated restaurants in
Ocean Drive. You can also take the time to visit Danny Devito's 'Devito South
Beach', Robert DeNiro's world-famous Nobu Miami, or Dan Marino's Restaurant on
Sunset Drive.
Miami Beach is everything you could
ever dream of and more. Get your friends together, or go by yourself. Either way, Miami Beach is an experience
that's sure to be unforgettable.
Nothing says "Spring Break" like an
exotic getaway where you can party to your heart's content. And when it comes
to exotic, no place in the world beats the crystal clear beachfront paradise of
Playa Del Carmen. A tiny slice of heaven in the Yucatan Peninsula, the little
Caribbean town is a must-see for those wanting to experience all of the
luxuries and beauty that Mexico has to offer.
Imagine a tiny coastal retreat where
you can escape the hectic pace of college life. Slow down to a snail's pace and
take walks along the beach, dip your feet in water so clear you can see all the
way to the ocean floor. Or maybe you're more of sunbathing kind of gal; lay
your towel down on the sandy shores of Playa Del Carmen and enjoy a day of
basking in the rays as you breathe in crisp ocean breeze. Could it get any
better than this?
Yes, it can, and you can experience it
all for much less than you think! Do your homework (so to speak) and check out
how unbelievably inexpensive it can be to go to Playa Del Carmen. For one, Playa Del Carmen rentals cost very little and they are easy to find. After
all, the little town is a favorite hangout for Mexican history buffs that come
through Mexico to learn about the rich and intricate Mayan culture.
Lodging is especially easy to locate as you walk up and down La
Quinta, or 5th Avenue, the main road that cuts straight through Playa Del
Carmen, leading from one end of the tiny town to the other. Also on La Quinta,
you can find dozens of small local shops and restaurants, perfect if you love
to hop from store to store discovering little treasures native to the place
that you're visiting
The warmth of the locals can be felt
walking down the city's streets, going to a local Mexican restaurant or walking
along the beach. Local transportation is everywhere, with taxis making sure
that everyone who visits Playa Del Carmen feels at home. Still, the town is so
small that you may want to just throw caution to the wind and just explore on
foot. Night life in Playa Del Carmen is fun, exciting and seemingly endless,
ideal for those living it up and trying to get away from the hassles of college
living.
Beach, bars, food, sand and sun -
nothing says "Spring Break" like Playa Del Carmen.
Picture standing on a rock overlooking
a gorgeous lake, bright green foliage and the sight of beautiful, majestic
mountains in the horizon. If you're looking to get away and find some sanity in
the midst of your hectic college life, what could be better than escaping to
nature and immersing yourself in the picturesque beauty of Lake Tahoe?
Taking a break from school doesn't have
to involve beaches, bikinis and sand. For those who are seeking adventure, a
connection with nature and some much needed relaxation, Lake Tahoe is the place
to be. Tucked away in the border of Nevada and California, Lake Tahoe is easily
one of the most accessible places to vacation in. From the moment you fly
into one of the three airports that are close by, you know that you're in for a
special time. Nature hikes, skiing, swimming, and camping during the day
complement the alluring, interesting nightlife in Lake Tahoe. The breathtaking
backdrop will make you take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery, from the
moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep.
Finding a place to stay in Lake Tahoe
is far from difficult. There are at least eleven towns all around Lake Tahoe,
both in the California side and the Nevada side, that offer reasonable rates
for lodging around the lake. Lake Tahoe vacation rentals
are beautiful, affordable and fitting according to your personality.
Discovering vacation homes
in Lake Tahoe that will complement what you want your experience to be won't be
difficult at all, either. Would you like to stay in a hotel or a motel room?
Perhaps you'd like instead to rent your own cabin in the woods, or seek out
your own condo. You might just want something that reminds you of home. No
matter what you're looking for, there is definitely something for everyone.
That goes for activities as well.
Transportation in Lake Tahoe is a breeze and the lake is located a short
distance away from major cities like Sacramento and San Francisco in California
and Reno and Carson City in Nevada. While nature hikes, trails and ski lodges
are a staple of the lake, nightlife is hopping with dancing, clubs and
gambling. An opportunity to revitalize and recharge yourself, a trip to Lake
Tahoe is just what you need to get your mind off of those school stresses.
Getting online and finding doing some
research, you will find that there are many destinations out there that are
ideal for those living the college lifestyle. More importantly, they're not
only cool and interesting but affordable. Still, you may have to do some
digging, and the process of choosing a destination may be a bit difficult.
One of the places that makes the
decision making process incredibly easy, however, is Orlando, Florida. Home to
both the University of Central Florida and Rollins College, Orlando is a
no-brainer vacation spot for students; a college town with endless
possibilities for a little - or a LOT of 'R & R', Orlando has everything
a student could every want or need to distract themselves from the usual school
daily grind. From clubs to pubs, from parks to beaches, Orlando is an accessible,
affordable town filled with excitement, adventure and just plain fun!
There's an aspect of traveling that
always makes people crazy, and students are no exception: finding places to
stay that are easy on the eyes and on the pockets. Vacation rentals
aren't always easy to find, especially depending on the town. Fortunately,
Orlando provides endless opportunities for finding the perfect place to rest
your head during your break. Orlando vacation rentals
are listed everywhere on the Internet, and can be found for a fraction of the
cost that a hotel room will cost. In fact, the benefits of having a vacation
home for the week far outweigh the cost of hotel rooms.
For instance, if you go with a bunch of
your friends, it will be so much more comfortable to fit them all in a vacation
rental because they're essentially houses, complete with full-sized bedrooms,
fully equipped kitchens, spacious, fully furnished living rooms, and in some
cases, even a pool. So if you feel like hanging back and having a house party
or a pool party, you can do that. If you're vacationing by yourself, it's still
a bargain; if you look online carefully enough, you can find Orlando vacation rentals
that are inexpensive and beautiful. It will be like being home away from home.
So much better than a stuffy dorm room! Lodging is a big deal when planning a
trip. Once you find the perfect place to stay, you'll see that everything will
come together nicely.
Choosing a place for your getaway when
you're a college student can be hard, but only if you don't know where to look.
And planning a trip when you're a college student can be a real pain,
especially if you have a million other things on your mind: school, work,
friends, family - the list goes on and on. But eventually, the time will come
when you will finally decide that you need a break. And, if done right,
planning a great trip doesn't have to be as painstaking as finals.
College students looking to take a load off and get away from the
hustle and bustle of student living need to look no further than
Orlando, Florida. After all, it is the home of the happiest place on
Earth, right? You'll find, however, that "O-town" is much more than
just Disney World and tourist attractions. It's an exciting city with
plenty of places to rest your head, shake it up, or simply mellow out.
Best of all, it's an ideal destination for students planning a getaway
on a budget, or for group vacations, so you can take a break without breaking your bank.
Orlando vacation homes can be found all over the Central Florida area, making it a breeze to
find great lodging at dirt-cheap rates. Great lodging, though, doesn't
mean a tiny hotel room in the middle of a tourist district; you can
find a fully-furnished vacation home, complete with full kitchen, large
bedrooms and, in some cases, even a private pool - all for the cost of
that tiny hotel room. You can spend your Orlando vacation in luxury for
a fraction of the cost. Does it get any better than that?
Of
course, where you stay depends on what you want to do. Do you want to
hit the theme parks and attractions around town? Check out lodging
in nearby Kissimmee, a visitors' haven located minutes from everywhere.
Maybe you're more interested in staying somewhere closer to Downtown
Orlando's nightlife. After all, there's something for everyone going on
every night of the week. Well, there are many vacation rentals to
choose from all over town, all in neighborhoods that are private, quiet
and accessible to major roads that will take you anywhere from the club
to the beach.
So now that you're thinking about Orlando as a
possible travel destination, where do you go to find fabulous rates on
Orlando vacation homes? Here are a few tips to get you started on
planning your next trip:
The Internet is your friend! Get on web and look up all of the
information you can about vacation homes in Orlando. Make sure you also
check out lodging in nearby areas like Kissimmee-St. Cloud. Often
times, places that are close to Orlando but not quite in the heart of
the city offer the best deals.
Stay away from stuffy hotel rooms in the theme parks. The rates
will be too much and, if you're traveling with a group of friends,
chances are it will be way too crowded in the room.
Call a few places that you find online and ask for details about
their rates and if they have any online specials. Also, find out when
they offer the best deals. Don't be fooled: just because it's spring
break, it doesn't mean that you have to pay an arm and a leg to find a
bargain.
With a little patience, some research, and
just some good shopping sense, you can have that much-needed break
you've been wanting without spending your much-needed savings. So go
look for that Orlando vacation home and plan that trip! After all,
college isn't just about school - it's about having fun!
With its rich history, charming oceanfront and friendly atmosphere, Virginia Beach has long been a favorite destination for people seeking a bit of fun while getting in some down time from their otherwise fast-paced lives. What's more, not only is it the ideal place to sit back and relax, but it's great for families and groups of friends that are looking for a different scene than the typical spring break retreat.
There are many things that you can do in Virginia Beach, but nothing is more fun than experiencing the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk stretches three miles alongside the beach, and it is visited by millions of people each year. In typical boardwalk fashion, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk features local shops, food, entertainment and attractions that are sure to keep even the most laid-back tourist on their toes. The possibilities are endless; lie out in the sun or jump in the cool waters of the Atlantic. Rent a jet-ski and cut through the waves or board the Rude Rocket yellow boat and see what the boardwalk looks like from the ocean. Feed that hunger for adventure and go parasailing, or simply relax and enjoy some offshore fishing.
Inland activities are just as popular in Virginia Beach as the water sports. Do you like golfing? Virginia Beach has some of the most spectacular - and difficult - golf courses in the country. Visit Busch Gardens in nearby Williamsburg or simply marvel at the wonder that is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. You can do anything you want in Virginia Beach - the sky's the limit.
What's even better is that Virginia Beach vacation rentals are very affordable. Lodging doesn't have to be limited to the beach, either. If you want to be close to the beach and you'd prefer to stay close to the boardwalk, you can find oceanfront lodging at great rates. However, transportation in Virginia is easy to come by and the further inland you go, chances are the cheaper your rates are going to be. So it is definitely worth a look to see where you might benefit from the best deals. Who knows? Depending on when you travel you may be able to stay right on the boardwalk for a fabulous price.
You don't have to go far to enjoy yourself. Take a trip to Virginia Beach and see how close relaxation can really be.
