Vancouver, B.C., Canada

When I think spring break, I think beaches, parties and fun in the sun. I definitely didn’t think Vancouver. But a couple of friends turned me on to the idea of giving Vancouver a try last year for our vacation. We were all going in a big group of about 10 people, so we needed to find accommodations in Vancouver that would hold all of us without it being a strain on our pockets. The idea of finding something inexpensive and big enough for all of us already had me feeling a bit skeptical.

As soon as I realized, however, how easy it was to find Vancouver lodging that was not only cheap but sizeable, I was excited to be there. The Canadian city has so much to offer, from beaches and mountains to casinos and dance clubs. It  is no doubt a great place for you and your friends to visit and enjoy together.

There is so much to do together and all of it exciting in many different ways. We first did a little sightseeing, visiting museums and gardens. We visited the Bloedel Floral Conservatory, the home of Vancouver’s only ‘garden under glass’, filled with beautiful greenery and flowers. We also took advantage of the many stores and malls in Vancouver, most notably in Downtown Vancouver. Amazing shopping, great prices and the people were so friendly!

Vancouver's lush nightlife has everything you have ever wanted in a city. You and your friends can have your pick of whatever you want to do – Vancouver is yours for the taking. Looking for a great restaurant where you can enjoy a leisurely meal with friends as you relax and wind down – or maybe prepare for the night's activities? Or do you just want to get right down to it? Clubs or casinos are the hot spots in Vancouver. Do what you will and get your party started.

All of this, however, starts with the lodging and Vancouver has some of the best. Accommodations in Vancouver are fantastic! My friends and I all had tons of economical and beautiful Vancouver furnished apartments to choose from. There is so much to do there, than we often overlook the lodging aspect of it. Fortunately, Vancouver offers so many great options that the decision could very well be made for you. Vancouver, as one of the most beautiful cities in North America.

Vail, Colorado

The thrill of the slopes awaits you as you escape from the crazy college life and run to Vail, Colorado, where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and the joys of experiencing breathtaking snow-capped mountain air as you become enveloped in the excitement of a snowy spring break vacation.

It's so unusual to hear of a spring break with no beach and no sand. The beauty of spring break vacations, though, is that they are whatever you want them to be. They are snowy or sunny, hot or cold. Some of us love the cool, crisp weather, so we are never disappointed by a trip to Vail. Vail is a beautiful mountain resort town in Colorado, boasting lots of skiing and snow sports and most of all, the kind of relaxation that makes for a warm and toasty spring break.

There are a few things you should keep in mind before going to Vail. First of all, make sure that you have looked at the Vail vacation rentals before you visit, since you will want to stay somewhere where you are comfortable and accessible to all of the things the mountain has to offer. Second of all, make sure that your Vail lodging is affordable and that you are getting the best value for your money. Especially in these economic times, it is important to find the deals that best suit your needs. One way to go is to look at the Vail condo rentals. You can find excellent deals on condos that are affordable, centrally located and that feel like a home away from home.

Because that is exactly how you should feel as you take in your surroundings at Vail. Take in the slopes during the day, but don't let the serenity of the place fool you. Once nightfall comes, you can go to one of the many bars, live entertainment lounges and clubs that are located in Vail. Meet some people, perhaps even bring friends with you on your spring break vacation. Whatever you are looking for, whatever you do, you will find it and experience it all in exciting Vail, Colorado.

Turks and Caicos Islands

If you're looking to go out of the country for your spring break vacation, but you don't want to go too far out, the Turks and Caicos Islands are the place to go. Located  just off the coast of Miami, Turks and Caicos have plenty to do for those who don't quite have a plan.

The Turks and Caicos consists of about 40 islands and cays, although only a few are inhabited. As with any Caribbean destination, the most beautiful thing about Turks and Caicos is the gorgeous beaches and the incomparable water activities. There is nothing more amazing than experiencing Mother Nature at work and up close, and the perfect place to do that is at Turks and Caicos.

Before you go on your Turks and Caicos adventure, it is very important that you look at what your options are for lodging. A Turks resort is always a great option, putting you right in the middle of the action. You can also find Turks and Caicos villas for reasonable prices and at wonderful locations throughout the islands. One thing is for sure: the moment you find that perfect Turks and Caicos rental, you can rest assured that you'll be embarking on the adventure of your life.

There is lots to see and explore as you snorkel, dive, and swim your way through coral reefs, walls, and sea life. You can go bird watching, visit the world's only conch farm, or go on a whale watching trip, where you can experience the once-in-a-lifetime excitement of seeing a Humpback Whale up close and personal. You can also see an array of species at the National Parks and the surrounding waters, from turtles to Rock Iguanas, to manta rays and dolphins. Numerous daytime and nighttime activities guarantee a great time as you share in the life of the locals, partake in the excitement of the parties, celebrations and night life. You will have no problems forgetting about your hectic college life and the craziness of mid-terms once you step foot in Turks and Caicos.

Slow down your hectic college pace at the Turks and Caicos Islands, and discover what a real spring break feels like.

Scottsdale, Arizona

Here's a spring break destination you may have never thought of – Scottsdale. Arizona. Have you ever thought about heading West and seeing what's so great about the desert life? Have you met people from that area that insist that it is better than the East coast and you haven't believed them? I myself was an East Coast Only sort of gal, until a friend proposed that I go with her to Scottsdale during our spring break.

It was a big risk for me, because I was planning on doing the more traditional Daytona Beach sort of spring break, with constantly screaming and carrying on and crowds and crowds of people. As soon as I landed in Scottsdale, though, I was hooked. It's so strange to get off a plane and just feel like you've arrived home.

I instantly loved just how many parks there were, how much nature was a big part of the lifestyle there, and how much history there was. There were a lot of places to hike, ride horses, and play golf, and there were a lot of spas, which was great, especially after the hectic semester I had been having in school. The nightlife is fantastic! There are lots of bars to go to with life entertainment.

My friend and I were able to find Scottsdale lodging with no problems, which would have probably been an issue had I gone to the place I originally intended to go on for spring break. In fact, a Scottsdale rental was not only easy to find, but affordable as well. Condos in Scottsdale Az are absolutely breathtaking. The area is just beautiful, rich in culture and nature.

Going to Scottsdale, Arizona was probably one of the most rewarding experiences I've had so far during spring break. It was an unexpected surprise and a welcomed one, because I now have an entirely different view of Arizona. Thanks to my friend, I was given another destination to choose from for my next spring break vacation and this time I think I'm going to ask other friends to join us as well. After all, they need some rest and relaxation too.

Rome, Italy

Imagine waking up in a city that in and of itself is a world landmark. Imagine strolling down streets rich with culture, language and history all melding together to make up the most unforgettable vacation of your life. Now imagine it's spring break and you are looking for a place that has all of those qualities in one place.

Now stop imagining, grab a few friends and a duffel bag and head to Rome, one of the most beautiful cities in the entire world. There is nothing like spending your spring vacation going somewhere that is different from whatever the rest of your classmates are doing. Right now, with the economy in a bind, airplane tickets are at an all-time low, no matter where you go and, as a result, a trip to Rome could definitely be in the cards for you and your friends. Of course, the flight is not the only thing you have to worry about; after all, you do need a place to stay. But there's nothing for you to worry about.

Cheap Rome lodging is very easy to find. Many times, you can find places where you and your college friends can relax and unwind. In fact, Rome accommodations that can fit both your group and your budget are very simple to find. Make sure that you do your research before deciding on a place, and make sure that you are booked and ready to go by the time you get into Rome. There is much sightseeing to do once you get into that beautiful city. A cultural and historical mecca in the heart of Italy, you will find yourself mesmerized by the incredible sights, sounds, and experiences you will take part of once you get there.

Of course, many of us think of Rome as a romantic city, with lots in that area to offer. If you're checking out places where you and your college significant other can go spend a romantic week, look no further than Rome. Nothing says romance, in fact, like a Rome bed breakfast, where you can enjoy the company of your mate in the midst of beautiful Roman countryside.

There is no place more relaxing to spend your spring vacation on than Rome. One visit there and you will be hooked for life.

North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

South Carolina is one of my favorite places in the entire world; the people are always friendly, the weather is always pleasant, and there is always something exciting and interesting to do. That is why, when I had to decide where to go for my spring break vacation after my mid-terms were done, it was not difficult to choose North Myrtle Beach. With its beautiful sandy shores, wonderful shopping district and exciting activities, North Myrtle Beach made for the perfect spring break vacation.

Before I got there, I spent some time looking for North Myrtle Beach rentals so that I could have a nice, comfortable place to stay that was inexpensive. After all, my student budget doesn't allow for too much and even though I had been saving for a while, I figured the economy wouldn't take my dollars too far in terms of what I could afford on lodging. Fortunately, North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals are plentiful and affordable. In fact, I was able to rent out one of the many beautiful North Myrtle Beach condos for a fraction of what I would have spent at a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised, since I love the idea of feeling like I'm at a home away from home. The condo was gorgeous and it had a breathtaking view of the oceanfront. It was really very nice.

The activities at North Myrtle Beach were so much fun! I got to do some fishing, which I don't often do, and I also got to go on horseback rides, which is also something that I hadn't done since I was little. I was able to do some snorkeling and some kayaking. I was also able to go shopping at the many quaint local stores and get gifts for my friends back in school. By the time I went back to school from my spring break vacation, I was fully recharged and more than ready to dive back into my school work.

North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina turned out to be one of the best vacations I have ever taken. I am looking to definitely do it again next year.

New Orleans, Louisiana

After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, no one could have ever thought of New Orleans as a good travel destination year-round, much less during Spring Break. Thankfully, New Orleans is a resilient city, and the spirit there remains the same as it has always been. I decided on New Orleans for its beautiful history, for the people, and for the festive aura that remains even after going through adversity.

New Orleans has a rich culture and history that is evident in everything from the architecture to the people. You can't go anywhere in New Orleans without meeting someone who is friendly and eager to tell you about the town. Known for being a party city, especially during Mardi Gras, New Orleans always has something going on, whether it's day or night. Visit some of the best restaurants in the country, especially if you're looking for some good Cajun food, or even some seafood. There are many little cafes that will make you fall in love all over again. And there is always live entertainment at the bars, lounges, or even sometimes on the streets. The city is alive with music and fun at every turn. The French Quarter is hands down the most exquisite part of New Orleans, just absolutely beautiful and rich with history, architecture, music, theater, dining...you name it, you can find it at the French Quarter.

There is still a quiet, relaxing aura to New Orleans as well. You can really feel that and experience it when you stay at a New Orleans bed and breakfast. Family-owned little places that feel like a home away from home are easy to find here and inexpensively as well. There are still New Orleans vacation rentals available at great prices in different parts of the city, and the French quarter is home to many deals in lodging.

What a lovely time I had in New Orleans! I was taken by the spirit of this beautiful city and how wonderful the people were. My spring break vacation could not have been better. I went back to school refreshed, renewed and completely reenergized.

Madeira Beach, Florida

I went to Madeira Beach last year for my spring break. All I can say is, wow! I never knew so much could be going on in such a tiny stretch of beach! With so many things around it and places to visit just miles away from the beach, there is something for everyone.

I happened to go to Madeira Beach on the insistence of some friends that wanted to go somewhere fun for spring break. I initially thought that Madeira Beach would be a little boring, and so I had decided in my mind that I was going to appease them. Man, was I wrong! There is so much to do there, starting with the world-famous John's Pass Village and on to the Boardwalk and the beautiful stretch of beach that is the highlight of the two-mile city.

Yes, you read that right – the city of Madeira Beach is only two miles wide. Don't be fooled by the size of the tiny town, though. With thousands of visitors a day, you can easily find plenty of entertainment, dining, and shopping to keep you busy. John's Pass Village is connected to the boardwalk, and it has everything you can possibly think of, from food to clothes to jewelry to arts and crafts. There are many unusual stores and very interesting people from all over the world. You can enjoy a great seafood dinner or cruise into the sunset. Take a boat ride or take in one of the unusual shops in the village. Or you can visit the boardwalk and the beach, where you can tan, lay out or just jump in for a one-of-a-kind beach experience. One day in Madeira Beach and you will never want to leave.

With lodging like Madeira Beach condos, generally located on the beach, you can never go wrong. Madeira beach rentals can be easily found and enjoyed by anyone wishing to visit this little Gulf city. If you go with a group of people, you will find that vacation rentals in Madeira Beach can be very beneficial. They often times are cheaper than a hotel room, and they can hold large groups of people. And because they are located withing walking distance of anywhere, you can ditch the car and really enjoy the town.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is, to many, a gambler's paradise. With its bright lights in the middle of the desert, it is synonymous with adventure, excitement, and fun. All of these things make it the perfect spring break destination—far better, I think, than most places we often think about as spring vacation hot spots.

Las Vegas is the perfect place to take friends on an adventure for spring break. What better vacation than the one where you can spend the day visiting exciting attractions, checking out great restaurants, and meeting new people and have a great time, while visiting some of the world's most famous casinos at night, maybe taking in a show or two while you're there as well. The possibilities are endless as you and your friends take spring break to a whole new plane. There is nothing you can't do in Vegas. You are free to explore, share, and have fun visiting the new and exciting places that are waiting for you in Vegas.

A lot of people prefer the beach and other typical spring break vacation destinations, but think, also, about the originality of choosing a place like Las Vegas to ditch your stress and get your energies renewed. I mean, would you ever! There is just so much to do there that it will be easy to get overwhelmed. That's why it's the ideal place to go with friends; they can help you decide what to do on any given day. And the truth is that it would really give you a perspective on vacationing that you have never had before.

Of course, finding Las Vegas lodging is one of the most important parts of the trip. Before you arrive, taking a look at Las Vegas vacation rentals would be the smartest choice that you make, especially if you're taking friends. It would be ideal to find a Las Vegas vacation home that is spacious and affordable so that none of you get stuck in stuffy, overly expensive hotel rooms. The less money you spend on lodging, the more money you have to use in casino.

With all of its big city charm in the middle of the desert, Las Vegas has a lot to offer to spring breakers looking for a different kind of fun.

Key West, Florida

Key West, Florida is no doubt one of the most famous, most exciting places to visit in the world. An island in the Florida Keys, it is the perfect spring break getaway for some fun, excitement and even a little history.

The island of Key West is very famous for being the home of writers Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway. That is only the beginning, however, of what you will find there. As you roam through Key West, you will find yourself mesmerized by the warmth of the people and the rich culture and history that characterizes the island. Key West is well known for having a wild nightlife, with clubs, parties and festivals going on year-round. During the day, you can feast your tummy and your eyes on food, fun and lots and lots of water. There are tours that you can take of the keys, and there are places you can visit, like the Hemingway House, that will take you back in time. The Hemingway House, definitely a highlight in Key West, is the home to over sixty cats who are descendants of the writer's polydactyl cat, Snowball.

Nightlife in Key West is crazy, to say the least. Clubs for all ages and all tastes abound in this small island. Lots of bars, lounges and clubs offer live music and great drinks, promising a good time to be had by all. And no visit to Key West is complete without Sloppy Joe's, a bar with a lot of history. It is said that one of the characters in one of Hemingway's novels was modeled after Joe Russell, the guy who came up with Sloppy Joe's.

With so many things to do and so many exciting activities to look forward to, you can rest assured that Key West lodging is easy to come by. Key West condos are affordable and beautiful, many times sitting right on the beach and giving you a breathtaking view of the ocean. And if you're traveling with a few college pals, Key West vacation rentals that are fully furnished, spacious and comfortable can provide a nice alternative to small, stuffy hotel rooms.

Key Largo, Florida

If you're like me, your knowledge of Key Largo was limited to just that Beach Boys song where he talks about 'Key Largo and Montego'. Turns out that there is a lot more to this island than the Kokomo song. Which is good for you, the college student looking for a cool vacation spot for spring break. Key Largo, the longest of the Florida Keys, and the one closest to Florida, is also one of the most fun vacation destinations in Florida, and a perfect spot to stay in when you want to have a great time on your spring vacation.

Key Largo has it all, from para-sailing to jet skiing. It has some of the most beautiful stretches of beach in all of Florida, and it boasts parks, fishing, boating, and a lot of cultural events. At night, the island is jumping with live entertainment, bars, nightclubs and lounges. There are many restaurants and local stores, and it's close to Miami, so there are many opportunities for even more fun there. Take a boat to the other keys as well, and enjoy the full experience of being down at the Keys.

One huge part of the Key Largo experience is to go snorkeling or diving. Key Largo is home to the country's first underwater preserve, with many ships, statues and other underwater landmarks that characterize what you can find in Key Largo. In addition, you can explore the breathtaking coral reefs that adorn the waters of Key Largo.

With all of those things, and just going on location alone, you would think that finding a place to stay for your spring vacation that is not only available but inexpensive is virtually impossible. Not so. You'll be happy to know that Key Largo vacation rentals are both easy to come by, and affordable. There are many places that offer beautiful Key Largo lodging, including Key Largo condos with majestic views of the ocean.

All of these things and more make Key Largo a perfect destination for spring breakers trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of college life. Key Largo has just the speed you need to regroup, refocus and relax.

Kauai, Hawaii

Everyone dreams of spending some time in Hawaii on vacation. I know I definitely have thought about it. But being in college, sometimes that gets put on hold until times like summer or spring break. Last year, I took the plunge and chose to go to Kauai for spring vacation. I'd heard from friends that it was unreal how breathtaking everything was, and they weren't kidding. It was absolutely the best vacation I had ever been on.

I stayed in Princeville, which is one of the world's most beautiful destinations. Overlooking the sea cliffs that edge out Hanalei Bay, Princeville is a world unto itself. Nature is, of course, the main attraction here, as stretches of white sands and crystal clear ocean complement the rest of the island; falls, grottos, state parks with nature reserves, these are just some of the things that you can find when you visit Princeville. It is hard to pinpoint one particular part that was my favorite, because frankly there were so many! The people were so friendly and the culture was very rich and interesting.

When you first arrive in Kauai island, it will be important to get into a Kauai vacation rental that is affordable as well as accessible to everything on the island. Princeville, the most important part of the island, has a lot to offer in the way of entertainment, nightlife, culture and natural exploration, so you should look at Princeville villas if you'd like to stay in that area and take advantage of the wonderful things the island has to offer.

With picturesque Hanalei Bay so close by, it would be possible for you to do what I did; I looked for Princeville condos with an oceanfront view. I was amazed at how affordable it was, and how much I was able to stay on budget. As a college student, I count every penny I spend, so I was very happy that the lodging turned out to be so inexpensive. It made me enjoy my vacation even more.

I was able to make my Hawaiian dream come true and you can too. When looking for a place to unwind on your spring vacation, go to Kauai island in Hawaii.

Hollywood, Florida

There are two Hollywoods in the U.S., and one is right here in Florida. Florida offers many options for spring breakers to unwind and forget all of their stress and troubles from school. Hollywood, Florida may not have any movie stars, but it offers so much more than that.

When you visit Hollywood, you will find that there are many things for you to enjoy, both during the daytime and the nighttime. During the day, make sure to visit the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, where much of the action is. Visit Artspark at Young Circle, where you will find lots of stuff for people of all ages, especially arts and culture events that are sure to peak your interest. Shopping is also a huge part of visiting Hollywood, as you will find a ton of antique shops, beach wear stores and one-of-a-kind art, clothing, and souvenir stores. There are many museums also, and lots of great sightseeing tours where you can get to know all of Hollywood. There are even safari tours that will take you through the Everglades. And with such close proximity to Miami, there are many more options for travel.

One of the things that really surprises a lot of people is that finding lodging is not that hard. Hollywood offers a variety of options for places to stay during your spring break. If you are there with a group of people, a Hollywood Fl condo might just be the best choice for you; they are spacious, convenient and for the most part have a breathtaking view of the beach. But condos aren't your only option. You have Hollywood Florida apartments, which are also extremely convenient and very economical, especially for a large group that may not have a lot of cash to spend on lodging. Hollywood Florida hotels are a third option that becomes a viable possibility, especially if you're not going to be home much of the time. After all, with all of the things to do in Hollywood, you may go to the hotel just to sleep and not much more.

Hollywood, Florida is a gem in South Florida, filled with fun and adventure, just the right amount for you to get your fill before finals roll around.

Clearwater Beach, Florida

I went to school in Tampa, which was great because I got to spend a lot of time near Clearwater Beach. If you've never been to Clearwater, you don't know what you're missing – Clearwater is more than crystal clear ocean, awesome piers and incredible shopping and dining. There is this unbelievable aura of rest and relaxation that you can't find anywhere else but in Clearwater, and it's that same aura that will keep you coming back for more once you step foot in the sandy shores in Clearwater.

Now, I was fortunate because since I went to school close by, I often got to spend my Spring Break near this wonderful stretch by the Gulf. But if you have never been to Clearwater and you're looking for a place to chill out, have a drink and unwind with your friends for spring break, that is definitely the place to be.

As you drive into Clearwater, you will immediately feel like you've arrived somewhere special. Everything is cool and crisp, even on the warmest day. There are plenty of activities you can take part of during the day and also at night. Most people think that Clearwater is just a beach. There are restaurants, clubs, lounges and places with live music jumping at you at every corner. And with it being just a few minutes away from Tampa and St. Petersburg, you can't lose.

There is one other aspect of Clearwater that I found pretty awesome during one of my stays. My friends and I decided it would be kind of fun to rent one of the many Clearwater beach condos available for the week and we were not sorry we did at all. The best part about Clearwater beach rentals is that you can pretty much find anything you want by the beach and with a great view for top-notch prices. Vacation rentals in Clearwater are not only affordable, but easy to find and some of them have the best views of the beach that you will ever find.

All of this and more awaits you in Clearwater, Florida. If you can't think of a place to go celebrate your spring break, take the plunge and go to Clearwater. You won't be sorry.

Cayman Islands

Time and time again, I've heard that the Cayman Islands are an incredible place to vacation. From its out-of-this-world sunsets and sunrises in the horizon, to its beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue skies, the Cayman Islands have everything you could ever dream of in a spring break vacation. When you go to Cayman, you can do whatever you want – party, relax, or do everything in between. There is something for everyone, always. No wonder it is so popular.

People trying to get away from the hustle of daily life will find the Cayman Islands to be a place where they can slow everything down. Once they find the perfect Cayman Islands lodging, it's all uphill from there. Not that finding lodging is difficult at all. Now more than ever, Cayman villas are easy to come by at affordable prices. You can even get a Cayman Island rental with a gorgeous oceanfront view for the ultimate Cayman experience. Knowing where to stay is key in what you will be doing also, so it pays to do a bit of homework on where you'd like to go and what you'd like to do so you can determine where the best place to look for lodging will be.

Whatever you want to do, Cayman gives you the opportunity to do it. During the day, hang out by the beach or the pool. Visit the restaurants and local shops. Or partake in the many exciting activities offered throughout the islands, things like windsurfing, snorkeling, and fishing. Walk along the majestic shores of Seven Mile Beach. Take the time to explore every one of the three islands.

Grand Cayman, as the most popular island is never lacking in excitement, from fun in the sun good times at daybreak to party central at nightfall. There is never a moment in Grand Cayman where there isn't something to do. Or visit Cayman Brac, where nature prevails and your adventurous spirit can be awakened. Perhaps what you're looking for is a little isolation and a lot of relaxation – Little Cayman is the place for that. Each of the islands, with their own distinct personalities, come together to create the spring break experience of a lifetime.

Cape Coral, Florida

When you think Florida, you think sandy beaches, exciting nightlife and wonderful relaxation. Spending your spring break there is almost a given. The question is, where in Florida do you want to go? It can be a hard decision because there are so many places to choose from when you think about where you want to unwind from college life. Spring break, after all, is almost as important as the holidays. You have to plan for it just right.

When planning for my spring break, look around for something that is inexpensive, relaxing and new and you will find that vacation homes in Cape Coral are just about the most inexpensive forms of lodging that you will find anywhere. I had been on both Florida's east and west coast. I had been to Central Florida and I definitely had been to the theme parks enough times, and I was just out of ideas on what to do for my spring break. I didn't want something that I would be bored with, and I didn't want anything that would be too loud or to obnoxious. I really wanted to relax and take a load off; mid-terms were particularly hard, so I wanted to make sure that my rest was the primary motivation for getting out of school for spring break.

I took a bunch of friends of mine with me, friends who had the same thoughts and goals about the vacation, and we headed to Cape Coral, Florida. As soon as I arrived, I knew I had made the right decision. It was lovely, a nice of the ocean and the proximity to Fort Lauderdale that we needed in case we did want to party a little bit, and that came in very handy. One of the things I thought would be hard, but it wasn't. In fact, it was incredibly simple to find Cape Coral vacation rentals for less. For the amount we would pay in a hotel, we received a nice house, with furniture and amenities that you can only find at your own house. We were comfortable, and we fit comfortably. We had ample space for all of us to sleep in and it was all very economical.

When you want to get away to a place that is beautiful, exciting and relaxing, there is not other place than beautiful Cape Coral, Florida.

Siesta Key, Florida

Ahhhh Spring Break is almost here! It’s time to shrug off the books, the studies, the tests, the part-time job, the bills, the loans, and all of the other stresses of college. For a week, we get to do what we want, wherever we want. Many are so tired after so much work that a siesta would be just fine. Why not go where "siesta" is in the name itself? Try Siesta Key, Florida!

Siesta Key is a beautiful barrier island eight miles long just offshore of Sarasota, Florida. You will find it alive with tropical atmosphere, great beaches, offering plenty to do or plenty not to do. Whether you want to engage in watersports, shopping, or napping on beautiful sandy beaches, Siesta Key has it all.

Tropical sounds of balmy breezes and wild birds will lull you to sleep in your Siesta Key vacation rental. Those wild parrots you hear are a well-known part of Siesta Key. Add to that a few pelicans and palm trees, and you're in paradise. And this paradise comes with the best sand to lie on while taking in this entire tropical atmosphere.

The sand is the best in Siesta Key, literally! Siesta Key won the International Sand Contest in 1987 for having the best overall sand. No joke! Even the Travel Channel says so. In 2004 the Travel Channel’s Best Beaches in America show featured Siesta Key as the Best Sand Beach. While others can only say their sandy beach is the best, Siesta Key can prove it.

While you're hanging out for spring break on the 'best sand', take a closer look. You may just find some treasure! Head to the Point of Rocks and you could unearth long lost pirate's treasures! At the very least, you could discover many of its underwater treasures while snorkeling in one of the best locations on the west coast of Florida.

Speaking of the water, watersports are abundant in Siesta Key. If you require some thrills and adventure, take in sailboarding, snorkeling, fishing or parasailing. Or, chill out in a boat or sailing charter and enjoy the beauty.

Want to shop? Siesta Key has that covered too. Shops from the chic and elegant to the hip and funky, with all sorts of fashion, beach accessories and souvenirs are waiting for you in Siesta Key. Enjoy boutique shops and restaurants intermingled with attractions and commercial businesses. Plus many convenient stores and necessities are located near beach access areas to make life simple.

Siesta Key is simply about the beach and the water. There are almost 50 miles of canals and waterways inside Siesta Key. Plus, it's surrounded by water with the Intercoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico, which means you might just find yourself spending a lot of time on boats! And why not? Many Siesta Key condos and restaurants offer dock areas so you can simply pull up, dock and dine! Boat rentals are easy to find.

The bottom line, Siesta Key has it all for a relaxing Spring Break destination.

Breckenridge, Colorado

Are you the type that doesn’t follow the crowd? Maybe you’re the type that likes to try something different. While others flock to the most popular destinations, you like to choose locations that are out of the ordinary for the occasion. When spring break comes around, the crowds will flock to the sun and sand for tans. However, you might feel something different. Perhaps you hear the call of snow bunnies and rocky mountain highs. Perhaps the idea of snowboarding instead of surfing makes your day? Then Breckenridge is your choice.

For a snow-filled spring break on some of the best slopes in the states, Breckenridge has a lot to offer. Hit the slopes and ski to your heart’s content all day, then head out for some hot nightlife. Snow-filled fun can be had at the Nordic Centers for cross-country skiing. Hire some dogs for dog-sledding. Strap on the hip-weighters and wade out into the beautiful scenic streams for some fly-fishing. Take a sleigh ride at dinner time, and then head out for some hot nightlife. Make sure to look for the ghosts upstairs at The Brown, a local bar on Ridge Street. Then retire to a nice hot tub before getting some sleep so you can get up early again tomorrow for yet another long day of fun in the snowy outdoors. And if you are looking for something else to do besides ski, you’ll be satisfied. There are over 150 trails for hiking, exploring and more!

Breckenridge vacation rentals are relatively easy to find. There are plenty of ski lodges, resorts and developments that are perfect for those that want to be able to strap on the skis and literally shoot out the back door and down the slopes! Breckenridge lodging is also relatively affordable if you take the extra time to take a look at their seasonal rates. A little research goes a long way in discovering some great deals depending on specific times of the year. Plus, with new resorts and plans in the works, even more options are becoming available with each passing year, offering variety and convenience.

So if you like to do things different from the rest of the crowd, forget the hot stuffy beaches and cool off in the mountains of Colorado. Head to Breckenridge for a snow-lovers paradise!

Destin, Florida

So, all of your friends are loading up and getting ready to head to the typical warm Florida beaches to party this spring break. You want to go, but after all the stress, you just want to unwind, not lose sleep partying all night every night. You want to experience Florida, and get out of the snow, but what do you do? Try Destin, Florida for a great alternative to get everything you want from Florida, including what you really need – relaxation!

While you may not immediately think of Destin as a spring break destination, you’ll be won over fast by the natural beauty of Florida’s Emerald Coast. Take your beach towel with you and lie out on sugary sand, or take a dip in calm aquarium clear Gulf waters. You’ll feel like you’re on a far away tropical island, without leaving the country. And that’s not all there is to Destin!

Destin condos come in a variety of styles and prices to fit any budget. If you are fortunate to have some extra dough to splurge, you can really set yourself up nicely in a hot Destin vacation rental that will feel like home away from home. However, they probably don’t have snorkeling, diving, and yachting outside of your backdoor back home, do they? Just make sure to snap some photos of the magnificent nature and surroundings in Destin to make your friends jealous when you get back!

Oh, and schedule some time at the gym when you get back, especially if you love seafood. Forget fast food and late night breakfast runs. Destin has plenty of quality restaurants packed with great seafood! From oyster bars to chic cafes, you’ll find your taste buds tantalized and tempted.

So if you have the extra change, let everybody else do Spring Break on the cheap, worrying about the economy. Meanwhile, you’ll be sipping a cold one from your hammock in the back of your big Destin vacation rental with a belly full of great seafood, tired from a day of beach fun, enjoying a perfect Gulf sunset! That’s Destin.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Bummed out this year? Maybe the economy has got you down and you just want to run away as far as you can from the mess? Maybe you’re one of the lucky students who worked and worked and saved and saved just to have some coin for this spring break? Then get out of here already! Forget the typical spring break locations in the U.S. and think outside the 50-state box. Head south to Mexico!

Head south of the border to a place nestled on the Pacific Coast and forget all sense of time. In fact, make sure you come home after visiting Puerto Vallarta, because once you’re there, you may never want to leave.

So what’s so special about Puerto Vallarta? First, Puerto Vallarta lodging is easier to come by than you might think. The exchange rate isn’t bad, which means some better deals for the money. There are all-inclusive resorts available in Puerto Vallarta, offering food, beverage and activities included with the resort in one price (which really saves money).

Get ready for a world-class Mexican seaside paradise that awaits you with natural beauty, art galleries, golf courses, restaurants and nightlife. Step out of your Puerto Vallarta villa and find an ocean of activities awaiting you! From snorkeling to scuba, or just chilling on the beach, you can pamper yourself a bit after a hard semester.

For thrill-seekers, Puerto Vallarta has enough to keep you on your toes. Go swimming with the Dolphins at the Nuevo Vallarta Dolphin center, hop on a board and go surfing or windsurfing in some of the best conditions in North America. Jet Ski, snorkel, dive, parasail or kayak your way through plenty of water sports to fill your spring break thrills! Just make sure to keep an eye out for humpback whales playing in Banderas Bay, a sight you’ll never forget.

For something different, check out Jeep Safaris that take you off the beaten track and into a Mexico that few have seen. Immerse yourself in the local culture by taking a bicycle tour and check out the local scenery. Rough it out on one of the All-Terrain tours and head up to the Sierra Madre for panoramic views you’ll never forget. And while you’re out there, strap yourself in and fly above the trees on the new canopy tours!

Sure, you could go end up in a sleazy motel with 8 of your friends sleeping on the floor in a haze. But if you do, you’ll miss out on one of the coolest beach destinations in North America. Escape south of the border this spring break! Grab a Puerto Vallarta vacation rental and live it up in Mexico!
