Let's face it: stereotypical spring break destinations are not for everyone. Not everyone wants to be in overcrowded, loud beaches and partying 24/7. Nature lovers looking for a real break from the stresses of everyday campus life and wanting to have the experience of a lifetime will be charmed by Marco Island, the largest of the ten thousand islands on the Gulf Coast of South Florida. Its quiet, picturesque coastline is the background for some of the most impressive natural attractions in the state.
When you visit Marco Island, expect to do more than just sunbathing and beach frolicking. The island is home to stunning wildlife parks and reserves, including the Everglades National Park. Surrounded by thousands of uninhabited isles and other bodies of water, Marco Island makes way for you to explore and discover at every corner. Featuring beautiful tropical foliage and many species of wildlife, it seems almost like a tropical fairy tale.

Maybe you're curious about lodging. It's the one thing that seems to take the longest and the most out of us when we're planning a vacation, isn't it? I mean, there are so many factors. We want to make sure that we are getting the most value for our money. We want to know that we are centrally located to all of the fun so that we don't miss a thing. Plus, we want to be comfortable! After all, it is our vacation. Finding quality vacation homes shouldn't be a hassle, and Marco Island rentals are thankfully anything but.
The great advantage that a place like Marco Island has over many other places in the country is that is it primarily a tourist town and, as such, there are always places to stay. The key is to find the one place that feels the best to you and that works the best with your budget and your circumstances. The one thing that I ALWAYS find most valuable is to go online and do some research. If you don't have time to sit in front of the computer and look for websites, get some phone numbers and call some places; ask about Internet deals and other special offers they may have. Also, it may be beneficial to find out about nearby towns and cities that may be just a few minutes away from Marco Island.
Marco Island is a fantastic - and unusual -place to spend your vacation. It may be the break you have been waiting for all year.
