Michigan Vacation Rentals

When someone says Michigan, I immediately think of Detroit. Up until now, I am ashamed to admit that I have known very little about Michigan as a state. But I have recently learned that there is a whole other world beyond the most famous Michigan city; a state that relishes in its natural habitat with beautiful coastlines and majestic skylines, Michigan is the ideal place to reconnect with nature.

Bordering the Great Lakes, Michigan boasts the world's longest freshwater coastline, with over 100 public beaches for visitors to enjoy, the only marine sanctuary in the Great Lakes area and numerous historical monuments, spots and districts to visit and enjoy. There are over 100 lighthouses in the state of Michigan, as well as some of the world's highest freshwater sand dunes.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things to do in the great state of Michigan. A haven for outdoor sports junkies, visitors of Michigan can enjoy a wide range of activities that include:

  • Kayaking
  • Cross-country skiing
  • Dog-sledding
  • Fishing
  • Boating
  • Hiking
  • Hunting
  • Biking
  • Swimming
  • Snowmobiling

In addition, those traveling through Michigan can marvel at the beauty of the hundreds of species of trees in the area as they visit the many state parks, wildlife refuges, and nature reserves. Michigan is the ideal destination for you to reconnect with nature and your environment.

With so many places to go, it's no wonder that you can find Michigan vacation rentals at a reasonable cost. Often times, the problem with visiting places that are not necessarily as popular is that you don't think you will find quality vacation rentals anywhere. Fortunately, there are many places that provide visitors with lots of choices on where to stay. From historic B&Bs to small-town inns to cabins in the woods, you will no doubt be able to find something that meets your needs while it suits your personality.

I had no idea that Michigan was so beautiful and exciting. While a few months ago, or even a few weeks ago, I would have never thought of adding Michigan to my list of states that I must visit, the research has made a believer out of me. Consider checking out Michigan as a possible destination for your next big trip.
